Aether Acoustics offers reverberation analysis, acoustic interior design advice and installation. Our work is backed up by detailed measurement, 3D modelling and a small team of experienced installers and carpenters.
We have proven success in room acoustic designs in a range of scenarios, including village halls and other group spaces, recording studios, lecture and performance spaces, atriums and school halls.
We offer measurement, analysis and design covering the following aspects:
- Surface absorption to achieve target overall reverberation criteria
- Spatial acoustics for purpose built spaces; controlled reflection, balance of early to late sound etc.
- Sound scattering and diffusion to create natural sounding spaces for recording and performance
- Control of room modes and resonance, often an issue in smaller spaces
- Frequency specific absorption to achieve spectral room response for critical listening standards (e.g. EBU Tech 3276)
Acoustical comfort in restaurants is an important factor in customer satisfaction, often overlooked by designers. The fashion for hard surfaces and minimal décor has lead to highly reverberant dining spaces, causing problems with speech intelligibility and compromising the dining experience.
We offer custom built surface acoustic treatments including panels, suspended soffits, lighting and other innovative designs with the aim of preserving the vision of the interior designer.
